After a short break Music Monday is back! Again we are featuring some quality music, this time from producer Patrick Ausserhofer. We caught up with Patrick to discuss his work.
You used MAGIX Music Maker to create your project. What drew you to the program and how does it help you in your work?
I use MAGIX Music Maker MX because it makes it very easy to create songs. The soundpools are excellent. There are no difficulties with the program. Before I came to use MAGIX I tried out other programs. However, they do not approach to MAGIX! It helps me a lot. First of all, the program interface is simple to navigate. All the useful functions are quickly accessible allowing me to get my ideas down fast . For this I love MAGIX products.
How long have you been producing music and what drew you to it?
I have been producing music for five years, I think. I always listened to music from Hans Zimmer and imagined that I would also like to make music like this. But it was more difficult than I first imagined. My first songs are… well, not so nice. Now thanks to MAGIX I can also do professional songs. Certainly, they do not sound mature just yet, but hopefully this will change soon, with the help of Music Maker.
How did you come up with the idea for this project?
Yes I started with sounds that I like. Then I tried to find a vocal melody to fit with the sounds. I divided the song into choruses and verses. I looked for some variations and sections that could alternate. When I had the “rough draft” finished I began to work out the song and arrangement. When I had finished this, I began to work on the mix down. And so “You Don’t See” was born.
What advice would you give other music makers who would like to go in the same direction?
They should find their own sound and not fall under the influence of other people and have confidence in their songs.
