So, Halloween is over. It’s one of my favourite holidays and it pains me to let it go so quickly. It’s a
holiday that tends to come to a quick, marvellous crescendo and then end abruptly. So, before you guys start getting into Christmas or (in the US) Thanksgiving, I want to take a bit more time to come down from the high of Halloween- to allow this holiday spirit a lingering goodbye.
Trentmøller’s Even Though You’re With Another Girl is a good song for slow endings. The song is beautiful and soothing yet has bursts and periods of sustained energy. It’s wonderful for an early morning in the office but also worth listening to again at home. The video, however, gives it so many layers that I would have never noticed. It is heavily inspired by Surrealist film both in style and content, which aims to evoke a higher form of reality through dream-like sequences.
Trentmøller and the Director, both Danish, collaborated on this project in an effort to promote a new method of storytelling. I- and they- hope you appreciate it.
